MoboReels (2026): What It Costs, and What Its Users Say
Some links below are affiliate links. Nobody here has installed MoboReels, so this is researched rather than reviewed — its catalogue measured from our own crawl, its record read off the public App Store feed. No score, and we say where that limit bites: see how we review.

What MoboReels actually is
The smallest catalogue on the network and the most concentrated — almost entirely English, almost entirely contract marriage. It is published by CHANGDU (HK) TECHNOLOGY LIMITED, and it carries 13,196 series across 17 languages, 2,142 of them in English — about 16% of the library.
We have not put MoboReels through a full review, and this page does not pretend otherwise: there is no score on it and there will not be one until somebody here has installed it and paid for their own coins. What follows instead is what can be established without doing that — the size and shape of its catalogue from our own crawl, and what its current users report on the public App Store review feed. Both are things you can check yourself, which is rather the point.
Is the library still growing?
Yes. MoboReels added 2,058 titles in the last thirty days, with the newest our crawl can see published on 12 September 2026. At that rate the library is growing faster than almost anyone watches, so running out of things to watch is not a risk here — which puts the weight of the decision entirely on what it costs and how it bills you.
The language mix says who it is built for. English is only 16% of the catalogue, so the app you install is a small English window onto a much larger library you cannot read. The full breakdown is in the table below.
What the shelf is actually made of
We hold 1,779 MoboReels titles in our own tagged library — a sample of its English catalogue rather than all of it — and the themes they carry are a fair guide to what the app leans on. In order: marriage & contract marriage (1040), divorce & betrayal (560), billionaire & ceo (545), revenge (344).
Short drama is a genre of premises rather than plots, so this is more useful than a genre label. An app whose shelf is mostly contract marriage and betrayal is selling a very different evening from one built on mythic fantasy, even though both file under “romance”. If the leading theme above is the thing you came for, this is a reasonable install; if it is not, the app has less for you than its catalogue size suggests.
Where MoboReels sits on the network
These fourteen apps all license from the same distributor, so comparing them on catalogue facts is comparing like with like. Against the other 11, MoboReels is one of the larger libraries — 4th by total titles, and among the fastest-growing.
| Measure | MoboReels | Network median | Rank |

| Available in English | 2,142 | 1,583 | 4th of 12 |

| App Store rating | 4.54 | 4.65 | 11th of 12 |
Size is not quality and a big catalogue is no use if the writing is bad — that is precisely what our FMR score is for, and why this page does not have one. What the table does tell you is whether you are choosing a main app or a supplementary one, and whether a long subscription is likely to outlast the library.
What MoboReels’s users report
MoboReels shows 4.54 stars on the App Store from 39,963 ratings. Of the 150 most recent reviews we read, 19 are one star — 13%, which is low for this network and broadly consistent with the headline average rather than contradicting it.
What reviewers rate
- The app itself is well built — reviewers praise how it runs even when criticising what it costs
- Nearly its whole catalogue is in English, a higher share than any other platform we list
- The most concentrated contract-marriage shelf anywhere on the network
What they complain about
- The recurring complaint is that the VIP pass does not deliver what it promises — “unlimited” access that turns out to be limited, and coins still required after subscribing
- Ad prompts that ask for two adverts and play four
- Reviewers report no way to cancel from inside the app
- A genuinely small library — a few hundred titles, which heavy watchers will exhaust
These are what current users say, not findings we have reproduced ourselves — an important distinction when the complaint is about money. But a grievance that dozens of unrelated people make in near-identical words is worth knowing before you hand over a card, and it is not something an app’s own marketing will ever tell you. Our guide to cancelling these subscriptions covers the billing pattern that runs across this entire network — including apps we rate highly — and how to get out of it if you are already caught.

Should you install MoboReels?
A good app with a bad pass. If contract marriage is the specific itch, the shelf is more concentrated here than anywhere else and the app runs well. Buy coins rather than the VIP subscription — that is where nearly every complaint lands — and expect to finish the library faster than you would elsewhere.
How we researched this
Everything above comes from two places. The catalogue figures — how many series, in how many languages, how many arrived this month — are from our own crawl of the distributor’s library, last rebuilt for this page on 2026-09-12. The rating, developer and review quotes are from MoboReels’s App Store listing and the public customer-review feed Apple publishes alongside it, checked on 26 August 2026.
What that method can tell you is what an app costs, how big it is, whether it is still publishing and what its users are angry about. What it cannot tell you is whether the writing is any good, where the paywall really lands, or how hard the app pushes an upsell at episode four — and those are the things our FMR score measures, which is why MoboReels does not have one. If that changes, this page will change with it and say so.
