So this is ranked on things we can measure and you can argue with: how much of the premise is built to make you wait, how many distinct themes the series carries, how recently it landed, and what the app you would have to watch it on scores in its own store reviews. Titles on apps we steer readers away from are left off entirely rather than ranked low, and it is taken a few per platform rather than straight down the list, because ReelShort out-publishes the next four apps combined and would otherwise take most of the slots.
59% of this list carries our R story rating, for violence, threat or dark themes. Most of these ratings are provisional: derived from the synopsis rather than from us watching the series, and deliberately rounded up, because under-rating a dark plot costs a viewer more than over-rating a gentle one costs us.
